Ramblings.

So. I uploaded some userpics, all Doctor Who ones. Mostly because I cannot be bothered taking pictures of myself in different moods for userpics, and also because I am a nerd. Today you get the lolwhut Doctor. They look prettier on my desktop though.

Mum booked tickets to Phantom of the Opera yesterday. 21st of February at 8:00 PM in the Burswood Theatre, seats N17-21. I think. Either that or 13-17. N row, anyway. If she'd booked sooner, we could have been in the lounge area. -.- But still. POTO is POTO. And we're staying at the Burswood Holiday Inn which is nearly as swanky as the resort but $400 cheaper. Yays. It will be great. It had better be. I am saving up for the exorbitantly priced merchandise. I'd say I'll have to buy stuff even though it's my birthday present to go there, and the tickets totalled $620. Not to mention the hotel. So yes. I don't think I'll get anything else for my birthday, but that's okay. POTO = win. ^^

Don't think Lily will be able to come. D= Not that she told me so or anything. Hello Lily! I am making assumptions. =D Possibly incorrect ones, but the show starts in February, so unless she comes in March it'll all be very whirlwind. And possibly non-meeting-up. Not that it matters. I'm visiting in December anyway. So I shall continue on. Meeting up was a possible added bonus - I was going to see the show regardless. And I am. Woot.

This is all very rambly. That's a word now.

I bought myself a tub of Betty Crocker's Milk Chocolate Frosting yesterday. The tub is nearly all gone. It's so delicious. I am a glutton.

Well, the highlight of my day is a toss up between backing out of the garage and riving back in without ruining the wing mirrors, and winning the STAR mini-game on Zelda. Which is pretty sad. Drove at night for the first time. Mum actually let me, which was shocking to say the least. 'Twas fun. I didn't kill anyone, but I have a headache because some moron decided not to turn off their high beam. I R ANGRY.

I have tea. And almonds. Yum.

MSN threw a spaz today. It seem Adium doesn't like MSN anymore, or the other way around. I think Bill flipped the "Screw Mac users and Adium" switch today. D= Or something.

We need a granny flat at our place so people can stay there. And money to do that. And money to fly people over to stay in it. I hate money.

Today was hot, so naturally my parents today was a good day to do some landscaping. It was icky. So I went swimming for more than 2 hours. My eyes sting from the chlorine and my hair is all ick now, but it was very nice to escape the sun.

Got 12 hours of sleep last night. Excellent.

The Bill is on tonight. I must watch it. I have missed like, 8 story arcs. Not good. People may have died, or got promoted or demoted or... I don't know. Snogged? Either way, it's time to play catch up. 

I really hope that Matt Smith is a good Doctor. I have to wait 12 fecking months to find out, which makes me a very mad fanboy. Not to mention that Australia is a PAL region and games are late here, so no entertainment there. We should be in the Japan region, damnit! Once I've achieved world domination, I am forcing the nation of Japan to ship here first. *nodnod* With an English dub, of course. I can't understand Japanese unless you count or say konichiwa.

I have had that new Lily Allen song going round and round in my head all day. So I downloaded it so the entire song would be going through my head rather than the lines "I wanna be rich and I want lots of money. I don't care about clever, I don't care about funny." Annoying. So now I have the entire song in my head. Whee.

Ho hum. Today has been boring, but stuff happened. Woot.

I couldn't sleep last night, so I watched the first two discs of Doctor Who Series 4. That kept me up until 2:30 this morning. I fell asleep afterwards, only to be woken up at the ungodly hour of nine. Cleaning the house is not something I like to be woken for. Thank you, mother.

I decided to update my OS to 10.5.6 from 10.5. :x I have been lazy and not updated since I got this lovely machine. The file was 669 MB, and with my connection, that took 4 hours. Except, my computer went to sleep halfway through the download. v.v The download resumed, but the file is corrupted. D= Not happy, Jan. Luckily it was an unmetered download. But still. 4 hours of no Internet and I have nothing to show for it. Fail.

Mario Kart Wii is epic fun. I am addicted. =D

I am very bored. Hence this. And my brother and his friend are morons. I abhor them. My brother needs a good whack.

I think it's because I walked into the wall last night. I was trekking to the other side of the house because the toilet closest to my room's light has blown, but I am a creature of habit, so I turned to go to the aforementioned toilet. Except, I turned too early, and walked into the wall. Then on my return to my room, I again walked into a wall.

We're going out for dinner tonight. Which I don't feel like doing at all. It's hot and sticky, so I'd much rather be in the pool. It's nearly six and the thermometer is reading 32. Sleeping should be fun tonight. >_> Dry heat is win, sticky heat is fail of the epic variety.

A private number keeps calling us at home and hanging up whenever we answer. We think it's our estranged, lunatic uncle. He found out something he doesn't like which I cannot mention because it may put someone in danger. He's a loon, man. Funny stories. He told us he was with MI5 (despite having never left the country. The country being Australia) and could have us all (My mother's family) killed. Also told us he was going to shag every woman he saw in a bar in Canberra despite being a huge prude, that he killed a cow with his bare hands to prove his love to my aunt. Look up whacko in the dictionary and there'll be a picture of him. Or violent lunatic. Either will do. But he's a pansy so it's all good.

I pose a question to you, dear readers. Well two. But you only need to answer one of them.

If you're Australian, do you think any of our recording artists are decent or successful?

If you're not Australian, have you actually heard of any of our recording artists, and do you think they're any good if you have?

Let's face it. Our music exports suck. Not even we like them. In the last ten years, how many artists from Australia have produced a second album, or even a second single? I could use my fingers, I think. Kylie Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian, The Veronicas... And they all suck anyway. I think that's all. And I think Kylie is the only internationally successful act, anyway. We really do suck in terms of music, Australia. Get your act together. And stop relying on Australian Idol for talent. They all suck.

And to top it all off, Hot N Cold was playing as I wrote this. Now Get Shaky is playing. iTunes Countdown, or suicide countdown?

I had this dream last night which I remembered. Which is nothing special in itself. But I was looking through my pants drawer in my cupboard and found this pair of really nice jeans. I want them.

Title says it all. I was drying myself after a shower when I accidentally whacked my nose. Blood started dripping out and I had to grab some stinky old flannel. I wasn't exactly dressed for the public. >>; All better now. =D

Yes, I am bored. So bored that I thought I would get a new theme, and change my journal's name. I am currently obsessed with the word cynic and all its derivatives. It sounds cool.

So. I made some resolutions. As of now, I have managed to do one of them. Number two. Mind, it is only day one. >>

1) Exercise more. It can only be good for me.
2) Talk to more people on MSN. I often neglect to start conversations because I'm distracted by all the apps I have open. No more! Rocco will become a social butterfly! On MSN at least. Be prepared to be inundated with conversations. =D
3) Get my P plates.
4) Become less critical.
5) Actually study rather than just do stuff in class.
6) Aim for Dux. See 5.

Yes, I did copy/paste. Oh well. 4 is failing as I nearly wanted to stab some person singing live on [V] for all the errors they were making. >> Haven't exercised today or driven, but I have a reason. It is currently 41 or something stupid outside. Five and six can wait until February. Not overly successful. But eh. I want to keep them. Hopefully I can, though I am cynical. Which is bad. So. Christmas was fun. On the Eve my mother's side came over for dinner which was nice. Cute little toddler cousins are win, and seeing the family is also. My grandfather cried because he was so happy. Awwww. I lovez him.

Christmas Day, I woke up at 5:30. Present unwrapping was at six. So I stayed in bed until then and proceeded to the tree. Of course, mother and father didn't get up, and in the end I switched on the kettle to get them up. It worked. I got stuff.

A pretty good haul, methinks. Christmas Day lunch was with the Italians, or my father's side. That was also nice. Ravioli = win.

Went to Perth on Monday. I bought a pair of white Converse. They're nearly Doctor Who Shoes, just not off-white. They have the same stripes on the soles, though. =D Already had to wash them. Never go outside wearing them when your mother asks you to help in the garden "for five minutes".

Last night was... interesting. I was happily eating my meat pie when I feel a trickle run down my right nostril onto my upper lip. Thinking quick, I dropped the pie and put my hands over my nose while shouting "Ged me sub tissoos!" ever so eloquently. I looked at the news paper in front of me to see blood splatters, confirming my theory that it WAS a blood nose. Anyway, I put the tissues over my nose and waited.

I went into the bathroom and went to remove the tissue to see if the bleeding had stopped. What I discovered was horrible. I pulled off the tissue, and with it came this giant clot. and not just any clot. It looked like a honking great crimson slug. I just googled at it.

I called for mum, and she just about dry wretched. My nose was still bleeding profusely, so I covered it with another tissue. Five minutes later, same story. So mum called Health Direct and whisked me off to the hospital. There, a really nice nurse treated me and said it was a cut. She did something to it. (It sounded like quarter. XD) I is better, but I cannot: Laugh, sneeze, blow my nose, touch my nose or breath too heavily.

Yay. A decent entry. Woo.

 Boringboringboring. Holidays are good, but boring when YOU CAN'T RECEIVE TEXTS FROM THE MAJORITY OF YOUR CONTACTS. I am going to kill Telstra and switch to Virgin. They have Viewty's for only $300, man. I seriously want. But no. Jenova says "It's not worth it, blahblahblah." I need texts, man. And at least then I could text Lily for free during my insomnia episodes. Which are becoming more and more frequent. Which leads me to my next point.

At last, I am getting a door. Tomorrow at 10:30. After months of not having one and having to get changed in the bathroom, and wet clothes on occasion, I CAN USE MY ROOM. Which also means a closed door at night and being able to have my light on during said episodes. And chat and write and not be in total darkness bored out of my mind.

CS4 arrived on Monday. No, it was last Friday. I'm losing my mind, man. I forgot Lily's name yesterday, lost money in my pocket, tried recording with the camera with the lens cap on for 5 minutes and attempted to plug my earphones into the FireWire jack on my iMac. I am losing it.

I sent Lily, Froggie and Craven their Christmas presents on yesterday. Yes, that was both articulate and grammatically correct. Lily sent my stuff today. Yays. Reading material. And no pages of doom from Froggie either. Which is a plus and a negative.

I got my report today. I opened it expecting some bad stuff, but I was pleasantly surprised. I got straight As, man. :DDD
